5 Products That Make Me Miss Baths*

May 7, 2019

*AD: I was financially imbursed for this post.

I currently live in a rented house share and I have done for around eight months now. I have a lovely en suite bathroom that I don’t have to share with anyone else which is amazing, but the one thing I do sometimes miss is a bath as I only have a shower. If I’m honest, I wasn’t a massive bath fan beforehand anyway but I did enjoy a soak every so often to wind down. The main thing that makes me miss having baths are all of the lovely smelling products you can get, from bath bombs to bubble baths.

Before I go on to talk about my most-missed bath products, if you are baths kind of person then WOW Free Stuff are currently hosting a giveaway where you can win a pack of Unicorn Poo Bath Bombs*. Putting poo in your bath might not sound like the most appealing thing, but unicorn poo is an entirely different scenario. These bath bombs smell amazing and make your bath all kinds of cool colours.

If you would like the chance to win these bath bombs, you can enter via this link. The competition ends on 31st May 2019 and all you have to do is provide your email address and full name. Lush Blackberry Bath Bomb

This is my all-time favourite bath bomb, I’m just absolutely obsessed with the smell of it. Lush discontinued this for a while but when I went to visit the Birmingham store recently, I noticed that they had started doing it again just in a different design. It used to just be a ball shape but now it’s a berry shape which is pretty cool. It still smells exactly like the Blackberry Bath Bomb I know and love and is honestly the number one thing I miss about baths. It’s a really sweet and fruity yet slightly musky smell and contains plenty of hydrating essential oils to make your skin feel super silky after a long soak.

Radox Stress Relief Bath Soak

Whenever I really needed to wind down if I was feeling anxious or on edge, this bath soak was my go-to. It contains rosemary and eucalyptus which creates a really refreshing and calming scent, perfect after a long day at work. I always had such a good night’s sleep after using some of this in a hot bath as it really helped to calm me down physically and mentally. Radox do plenty of other bath soaks as well to target different issues like muscle relief, detoxing and relaxation. These are also really affordable at around £1 a bottle and are available in pretty much all supermarkets and drugstores.

Imperial Lather Marshmallow Bath Cream

As a lover of sweet smells, this is just the perfect product for me. I was bought a bottle of this for Christmas one year and ever since then, I was hooked on it. It smells exactly like toasted marshmallows and a little goes a really long way to create lots of bubbles. It always made my skin feel really soft afterwards as well. For only £2 a bottle, this is an amazing product and will last you a really long time. The best thing about this is that they also do the scent as a shower gel so even though I can’t have baths now, I don’t have to miss out.

The Body Shop Mango Bath Bomb

If I ever fancied treating myself a little bit, I would grab one of these little guys on my way home from work. They’re only £1.50 each and although they’re only little, they still pack quite a punch as the scent is still very prominent. I will say that I didn’t find these as moisturising as other bath bombs I’ve tried but they were worth it just for the yummy fruity smell. They also do these little bombs in other scents such as pink grapefruit and moringa but mango is my personal favourite.

Lush The Comforter

This is another one of my all-time favourite scents; although the prices in Lush have gotten pretty steep recently, one thing I can’t argue with is that they do smells very well. This is another sweet smell so of course I love it, prominently blackcurrant and definitely makes me think of candy. It contains bergamot and cypress oil so is incredibly hydrating and you can also get it in a bubble bar version as well. They did used to do a shower gel but I don’t think they stock this anymore *sad violin music* otherwise I’d definitely be stocking up on it.

  1. I really love LUSH. The Brightside Bubblebar is so nice. Smells really orangey and it lifts my mood 🙂
Westlab do great salt for baths. I use both their dead sea and epsom salts. I love a bath x

    • I don’t think I’ve smelt that one, I might have to hunt it down next time I go in and give it a sniff! I love citrus scents. I’ve never heard of Westlab before, I’ll have to check them out! x

  2. Ooooh I love the Radox bubble baths – I love the vanilla/Shea butter scented ones as my skin doesn’t bode well with the other ones, but there’s nothing better than getting home from a long day at work and having a long old soak in the tub! I don’t think I could ever live without a bath! I’ve always wanted to try products from Lush but am probably one of the last people on the planet to not have had anything from them 😂😂❤️❤️

    • I haven’t actually tried the vanilla ones, they sound fab! I wasn’t much of a bath person beforehand to be honest, only on a rare occasion. Have you never tried anything of theirs?! They do have some lovely stuff, the prices are just a bit extortionate nowadays xx

  3. Yesss I love the Radox stress relief soak!! I always buy it for Jake then use it when I go to his 😂😂 I absolutely adore Lush bombs but to be honest I barely ever remember the names of the ones I like 🙈 other than sex bomb and dragons egg as Jake always gets me those as they’re super sweet which I love! I haven’t bought myself anything from Lush in ages tbh as I just can’t justify their prices! My favourite bath products are usually sweet scented or lavender/lemongrass 😍 bomb cosmetics do a bath bomb called sweetie pie that’s my favourite and do this giftset called bloomin bluebells which is all lavender scented/calming products which is absolutely gorgeous!
    Alice Xx

    • Haha I don’t blame you, it’s so good! To be fair I always forget the names as well, they have SO many different ones now it’s hard to keep track. I love Dragon Egg! It smells amazing, sweet smells are always the best. Yeah I can’t even remember the last time I bought something from there, I’d have to take out a loan lmao. Bomb Cosmetics have so many amazing things, I definitely need to do a haul one day xx
