A Tropical Bathing Paradise with Bomb Cosmetics

July 27, 2018

I was lucky enough to have recently won a competition on Twitter which was a collaboration between Bomb Cosmetics and Skinnydip, two brands that consistently create the most gorgeous products. Skinnydip sent me some lovely pieces including a make-up bag and a matching purse with different fruits all over them (there’s a little sneak peek in the photo below). I also won a bundle of cruelty free bath products from Bomb Cosmetics that all giving off tropical vibes. This was the most perfect package to receive considering the UK has actually decided to brighten up lately.

All Bomb Cosmetics products mentioned in the post grouped together.

Bomb Cosmetics primarily sell bath products such as bath blasters, bath melts, and soaps. They also do candles and home fragrances, all with unique designs and scents. Everything that Bomb Cosmetics sell is 100% natural, handmade, vegan and cruelty free – I don’t think you can get any better than that! They even use biodegradable glitter which is much better for the environment and the fishes. There are plenty of essential oils in their products which target whatever you’re looking for, be it an awakening scent or something to help you relax. Probably the biggest reason of all that I love Bomb Cosmetics is that they’re way more affordable than their other competing brands. For this reason, they’re my number one recommendation if you want gorgeous smelling bath treats without breaking the bank.

Thanks A Bunch Bath Blaster
A pastel yellow bath bomb topped with melted chocolate, pink icing and a mini banana (non-edible).

First of all, how cute is that little banana on the top? It almost looks like a dessert, although I wouldn’t recommend taking a bite out of it. This is basically Summer in a scent for me as there are fresh strawberries and ripened bananas included in the ingredients which give off the most gorgeous fruity aroma. Paired with a hint of cocoa butter, this really makes me think of Summer. Plus, the cocoa butter made my skin feel incredible afterwards. I’d recommend soaking in the glory of this bath blaster for a very long while to really give your skin some special treatment. Clary Sage is also included in the mix which is meant to be great for helping to soothe tired muscles. Bergamot is also included which helps reduce stress – a great choice after a long shift at work.

One in a Melon Bath Blaster
A vibrant pink bath bomb topped with a layer of glittery green and a mini watermelon slice.

I’m all about everything watermelon, it’s definitely one of my favourite tastes and scents. I’ve even got a reusable cup for my iced coffee that’s covered in watermelon slices – the love is real. This has just the right hint of scent without being too overpowering. I love this as sometimes fruity smells can smell quite artificial but Bomb Cosmetics always seems to get it spot on.

The blaster has two essential oils, May Chang and Marjoram. May Chang is often used for reducing excess oils on the skin as well treating blemishes such as acne. Marjoram is known for its calming properties so this blaster would be great for relaxing in with a face mask and some candles. It’s especially kind to your skin as the cocoa and Shea butter included made my skin feel super smooth. It also helped to reduce redness on areas where I have more sensitive skin.

As mentioned before, although this blaster is covered in glitter it’s all completely biodegradable. Regular glitter is made from tiny bits of plastic that can end up being digested by fish and killing them. It’s also super bad for the environment and the dangerous possibility of it getting into your eyes. I love that Bomb Cosmetics have a much safer and healthier alternative in their products. This means that we can still enjoy a sparkly bath without the risks.

Sunset Boulevard Bath Blaster
A pale pink bath bomb topped with orange sprinkles and a pair of mini orange flip flops.

The tiny flip flops on top of this blaster are the most adorable thing. Bomb Cosmetics definitely at the top of my list when it comes to creative designs. Sunset Boulevard contains Bergamot and Neroli essential oils which are both go-to choices for anti-stress purposes. This gives off a floral scent and even has petals inside. Once the blaster has dissolved, these float at the top of your bath. Although I’m not usually much of a fan of floral scents, this isn’t too overpowering and the surprise of petals was a really nice touch.

Fruit Salad Tinted Lip Balm
A mini tub containing vibrant pink lip balm - the packaging is also bright pink patterned with pineapples.

I feel like I keep describing everything as cute but how completely adorable is this tiny tub?! Sweet and fruity scents are always my first choice so this suits me perfectly. The balm is really hydrating and perfect for Summer as I often suffer with dry lips when it starts to get really humid. They have so many other scents to choose from as well and I’ve definitely got my eye on a few. There’s rhubarb and custard, cookie and even lady grey tea so there’s something to suit everyone.

Swizzle Stick Soap
A bright pink square of soap with 'swizzle stick' written on it in a cursive font.

Admittedly, I’m not much of a soap bar fan. I always opt for shower gels but Swizzle Stick has definitely converted me. All you do is rub the bar in between your hands or onto a sponge to form a lather. It only takes a small amount of product to get a decent lather going so it will last you a long time. You’re definitely get your money’s worth in terms of size. Not only is this the prettiest bar of soap I’ve ever seen, bars tend to dry out my skin for some reason but this does the complete opposite. My skin felt so nourished and hydrated even after just one use. This soap contains Clary Sage and Bergamot essential oils and is great for using in your morning shower. It has an invigorating scent, helping to give you a little energy boost in a completely natural way.

Tropic Wonder Bath Mallow
A small pastel orange swirl topped with a mini toucan.

Bomb Cosmetics have a wide range of bath mallows which are a little bit smaller than their bath blasters. They all contain cocoa butter so they are perfect for making your skin feel extra soft. Tropic Wonder has a little toucan sat on the top of a swirl that includes grapefruit and lemon essential oils, creating a citrusy yet sweet smell. Lemon essential oil is great for brightening up your skin so will help to give you more of a youthful glow which is perfect for Summer. I need at least a dozen of these little bath mallows; I used Tropic Wonder as well as shaving my legs and coating myself in moisturiser and I’ve never felt like more of a silky goddess.

Grapefruit & Nectarine Body Scrub
A bright pink tub with a white lid, the product name written on the outside in white and patterned fruits in orange.

This is probably my personal favourite product of the bunch. I’m not exaggerating when I say this has completely saved my skin. I suffer from mild keratosis pilaris on my upper arms. That sounds really complex but it’s basically tiny little red patches and bumps. This isn’t painful for me personally but I do get paranoid about it if I wear something sleeveless. I’ve been using this scrub in the shower on my arms every few days and I can definitely tell a difference. My skin has become noticeably much softer and the redness has definitely reduced.

This scrub contains sweet almond oil as well as pure grapefruit and mandarin essential oils. The scent is quite an awakening smell which is perfect for me as I always shower in the morning and it helps to perk me up a little. I’m definitely going to be buying more pots of this as it’s my new best friend.

Thank you so much to Bomb Cosmetics for all of these lovely bits. It’s been so exciting to finally try some of their products and I’m definitely going to be trying more out soon as I’ve got my eye on some amazing looking things.

Have you ever tried any Bomb Cosmetics products?

I absolutely adore their mallows as they’re literally just pure swirls of butter and leave you feeling incredibly silky, like you said. This has made me so excited to put in an order ASAP aah!! How bloody cute are those little flip flops too, I want surprise petals in my bath!

I’ve never tried any of their products! Since I moved out to uni 2 years ago I only have a shower so sadly can’t use any bath bombs which I miss so much. But I love the look of the soaps! I’m definitely going to have to look into these☺️
    Brooke x

    • Oh no!! That was my problem at uni too. If you ever get to visit home or anywhere with a bath I’d definitely take some Bomb Cosmetics stuff and have a big pamper, I know how much it sucks not having a bath! They do shower gels as well as little scented products that you can put in the shower with you to make everything smell nice, so you’re not totally missing out if you do want to grab some treats x
