I’ve been subscribed to ‘Look Incredible’ for the third month now, I was super impressed with my last two boxes and I get so excited for each monthly delivery. This beauty box costs £25 a month which includes delivery charges and they also offer a deluxe box for £35. All the items included are higher end brands and are all full-sized products as well. It works out at really great value for money as the items you receive total to at least double what you’re paying for the subscription. So, here is my review of the July box.
Estee Lauder Pure Colour Nail Lacquer in ‘Chaos’ – £15
I received another nail varnish this month, I’ve had one in every box so far. I love building up my nail varnish collection but unfortunately this shade is actually a lot similar to an Essie one I received last month. I would have loved a more summery shade as this is dark metallic colour. However, it’ll be nice to reach for when Autumn comes. I’ve also never used an Estée Lauder nail polish before so I’m interested to see what it’s like. I love how Look Incredible gives me the chance to use higher end brands and see if they’re worth the money to save me from spending a lot on something I might not like.
Kevyn Aucoin Eye Pigment Primatif in ‘Mistress’ – £18
I loved the packaging of this product as soon as I saw it and it claims to prevent creases in your eye make-up which appealed to me as I have hooded eyelids. However, I’m really confused with this product because it just doesn’t apply well at all, I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong. It’s an eye pigment in the shade ‘Mistress’ which is a shimmery dark brown. When I swatched this on my hand it just didn’t sit on my skin at all, it just crumbles up into lumps. I wasn’t sure if I had a faulty product or something but after reading reviews on this, a lot of people have said the same. It’s a shame because its actual purpose is something I would’ve benefited from and the shade looks gorgeous in the pot.
No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Serum – £22.50
I’ve never tried any skincare products from No7 as they can be quite pricey so I was excited to try this out. The product’s main claim is that it prevents wrinkles and whilst I don’t really have any wrinkles yet, this product makes my skin feel amazingly soft. It also helps to repair and protect the skin so if you have any blemishes, this could be a good product to try to reduce dryness or scarring. I’ve been applying it before I do my make-up in the morning and it has been applying a lot smoother and flawlessly. I had a couple of dry patches that had randomly appeared on my face and this has really helped to reduce them.
Eucerin Even Brighter Night Cream – £7.99
I haven’t paid much attention to skincare until very recently so was yet to try a night cream as I’d just been using my daily moisturiser of an evening. This is meant to brighten your complexion so I was really excited to try this out as I suffer with dark circles. Unfortunately, this made me break out so badly! I applied this a couple of times before bed and over those two days, the skin around my nose and cheeks seemed to have loads more blackheads and little pimples. This was really greasy on application and sits on top of your skin which isn’t ideal as I already suffer with oily skin. However, other people have reviewed this product very positively and it’s important to remember that what doesn’t work on my skin could be perfect for someone else!
bareMINERALS Statement Matte Liquid Lipstick in ‘Fresh’ – £15
I’ve actually been so excited to talk about this product! I love a matte lipstick as it is but I’ve found that the majority are quite drying or become flakey. I’m absolutely in love with the formula of this liquid lipstick, it’s so creamy and actually makes my lips feel really hydrated and soft. This has lasted through eating and drinking which is great and I had SO many compliments when I wore this lip colour. It’s a bright pinkish purple that is absolutely perfect for summer and will last you all day. I’m so tempted to go and buy this in more shades because it’s completely worth the money as for me, the formula is just perfect. This is definitely my favourite product of the lot.
Overall, I wasn’t overly amazed by this month’s box because a couple of the products are completely unusable for me. However, I have found a holy grail in terms of liquid lipsticks and a great addition to my skincare products so it wasn’t a complete let down. I’ll still be sticking with my monthly subscription as even if I don’t love every product, I still feel like I got my money’s worth and I love being able to try out new high-end brands every month. Let me know what you thought of this month’s box – have you tried out any of these products yourselves? Let me know what you’re loving or not loving and stay tuned for August’s box! Thank you so much for reading.
